IMPORTANT ANTI-MONEY LAUNDERING UPDATE!

We are starting to get notifications from several of our carriers that producers will now be required to have AML training if they plan to sell any Universal or Whole Life products.  You must have this training and any refresher that has been offered.  CLICK HERE for AML training or to see if you have any updates that need to be completed.

ESSENTIAL INFORMATION FOR LTCi PRODUCERS

Contrary to information previously disseminated, you must complete the 4 hour CE Partnership Refresher Course within 24 months of the date you received the Partnership Certification to maintain your certification.  You do not have until the end of the 2009-2010 biennium as was previously understood.  If you completed the 8 hour CE Partnership training in September 2007, for example, you must complete the 4 hour refresher course by September 2009.  If you have any questions in regards to this latest information, please contact Drudy Andrews, Kelly Stern or Carolyn England.

UPDATED ANTI-MONEY LAUNDERING TRAINING

LIMRA has updated AML training that all agents must complete.  Just CLICK HERE to go to LIMRA's login page to begin the updated training.  The new training was rolled out at the end of March, and LIMRA is still working with over 225 insurance companies to get this training loaded into active agents LIMRA/AML training page.  If you have logged on to do your refresher course and did not see the 2009 course, do not worry. It will be uploaded as the insurance carriers get their active agent list to LIMRA.  If you are having trouble logging on or if you do not see the 2009 course and need it to place business or be appointed, please contact Carolyn England or Kelly Stern in our office and they will be able to help you.  Again, we encourage you to check the LIMRA/AML training site on a regular basis for annual and individual company updates.

 IMPORTANT LONG TERM CARE INFORMATION

As of September 1, 2007, Virginia has joined many other states in offering Long Term Care Partnership Plans. To sell these plans you must have completed NAIC's 8 hours of Long Term Care Partnership Continuing Education Course. As of 2009 you will also need to have at least four hours of continuing edcuation refresher courses to continue Long Term Care sales. Click on these links if you would like more information on the Virginia Partnership Program or would like to take the online course.
